RELIGION: Based on a Bedrock of Lies

The major religions of the world were brought into existence through LIES.

The Christian Religion: Two Popes even admitted that Christ was a Fable.  Pope Leo X, died 1521. “How well we know what a profitable superstition this fable of Christ has been for us and our predecessors.”

Pope Leo X

Later Pope Paul III expressed similar sentiments, saying that there was no valid document to demonstrate the existence of Christ. He confessed that “Jesus never existed”, adding that he was “no other than the sun, adored in its Mithraic sect…”

Pope Paul III

Pope Paul III

In regards to the “Mithraic sect..”  Christianity is a copycat religion, invented by Constantine, for political purposes, based upon that myth, of Mithra (Mithras) son of a god, born of a virgin on December 25th.

If I tell you to accept an untrue myth as true, I am asking you to believe a LIE, no matter how much you may adore the untrue myth.

A good book about Christianity:

Historian, after exhaustive research, writes Jesus never existed. Writer finds no mention of Christ in 126 historical texts. He says Jesus was a mythical-character.

Michael Paulkovich’s  book is available on Amazon here:

I am reading the book and highly recommend it. Especially the top of page 55 (Roman leaders decide they need a god, any viable god, to hold the flagging empire together), and the bottom of page 61 (in 391AD, Roman Emperor Theodosius elevates Jesus, posthumously, to divinity, declaring Christianity the only “legitimate” religion of the world, under penalty of death).

Revealing book by Samuel Butler, “BEYOND ALL RELIGION” agrees with the thrust of Paulkovich’s new book

Sargon I

Based on another LIE. Moses was based upon the life and legends of Sargon the Great, the

King of Akkad.

The story of Sargon’s birth and childhood is given in the “Sargon legend“, a Sumerian text ….. In particular, the image of Sargon as a baby castaway set adrift on a river picked up by a gardener…

Moses never existed: Amongst the hundreds of thousands of Egyptian monumental inscriptions, tomb inscriptions and papyri, there is complete silence about the ‘600,000 men on foot, besides women and children’ who The Book of Exodus tells us escaped from Pharaoh’s armies.  The Egyptians were great record keepers. If a silo broke in Nubia, they recorded it.

Mormonism is based on a LIE. The founder, Joseph Smith, was convicted in a court of law on March 20, 1826 of being an impostor (we call it fraud now-a con man).

Joseph Smith

Later, Joseph Smith claimed that on September 22, 1827 he ran 3 miles, running at the top of his speed through the woods, jumping over logs, and knocking down not one or two, but three assailants in the process, all the while with the 200 pounds of gold plates safely under his arm!  Lead is close to the weight of gold. Try running 3 miles with 200 pounds of lead tucked under one arm. Once at home, he verbally translates the plates to scribes (who are forbidden to see them) into the Book of Mormon.

Islam: Question: You decide: Does the text of the verses of the Qur’an correspond exactly to those revealed to Muhammad directly as the words of God, delivered to Muhammad through the angel Gabriel, as claimed?

The above is from my new book:  “Beyond All Religion”, available at Amazon, here:  (152 pages, $9.95) Also an ebook on Smashwords ($3.49), OR send $9.95 payable to Sam Butler, SB 197, PO BOX 25292, Miami, FL 33102.

About beyondallreligion

Samuel Butler, Author: BEYOND ALL RELIGION Most all religions are based upon a bedrock of lies. Christianity was invented by Emperor Constantine , for political purposes, based upon the myth of Mithra, a Persian savior god born on December 25 , son of a virgin. Mithra performed miracles and was later crucified. Pope Leo X (died 1521) called Christ a “Fable”. Later Pope Paul III expressed similar sentiments. Moses is based on the Sumerian life and legends of Sargon I, King of Akkad, “set in a basket of rushes and “cast into the river”. Egyptians kept exhausting hieroglyphic records. There is a complete absence of any record of Moses leading over 600,000 men, women and children away from Pharaoh’s army. Joseph Smith, founder of Mormonism, was convicted in a court of Law of being an “impostor”, today a fraud, con man, in 1826. He wrote the Book of Mormon soon after. Question: You decide: Does the text of the verses of the Qur’an correspond exactly to those revealed to Muhammad directly as the words of God, delivered to Muhammad through the angel Gabriel, as claimed? 1. Bomberded with information may change peoples mind over the time towards religion of all kind.

I’m 52 and been an atheist most of my adult life – but only a vociferous one for the past 3 or 4 years. As I’ve become more vocal and forthright, I’ve researched and studied considerably more, because I think it is important to have facts at hand when debating with someone of firmly held beliefs. It occurs to me that if some of the facts detailed in this article were more widely known and taught as history to the next generations, all religions would have fewer places in which to hide.

The internet has made a massive difference to my own personal educational journey. I seldom take anything on face value, but whereas in the past I probably wouldn’t have bothered to visit a library to check facts, now I can have them in front of me in seconds without having to leave my desk. The internet is surely the place where religions will come to die; we just need to instil in our kids a desire to access the information. We do not need to resort to fear and indoctrination, like religions have done for centuries; we simply need to help our kids find the information and let them think for themselves.

  3. Unfortunately, the religious haven’t the intelligence to delineate fact from fiction.

  6. I did make a youtube with myself narrating. It is not the book, but tells a lot about the contents of the book. Here is the youtube:

  7. THe BEST theology is Parasitology and the best book on it is PARASITE REX by Carl Zimmer.
THe study of parasites is the study of the future!
We must stop looking to the skies for E.T. to return, the Rule of our Creator is within!
Religion is a neurosis, born out of fear and ignorance, which the ruling clases of all nations, in all times, ritualized and organized to control the masses.

Sad to say that I agree with Edward Berneys, that the masses have to be organized, just like a bee hive or ant-hill. This seems to be the creators design. Family, tribe, villege, town, city & nation.
There are some of us who like to think outside the box and that’s good, but on the whole, society MUST be organized. The quest is to find the best means to this and enhance our lives. We have seen that atheistic Communism doesn’t suit our species, but tyrants love it! The NWO is a return to atheistic Communism – 1984 on steriods.

We must jettison the gods of the past and come up with an idea that enhances life, brings stability, but allows freedom of expression, and having respect for other peoples views. But we have a major problem:

    By Tom Engelhardt
In 1964, a book entitled The Invisible Government shocked Americans with its revelations of a growing world of intelligence agencies playing fast and loose around the planet, a secret government lodged inside the one they knew that even the president didn’t fully control. Almost half a century later, everything about that “invisible government” has grown vastly larger, more disturbing, and far more visible. In his new book, Tom Engelhardt takes in something new under the sun: what is no longer, as in the 1960s, a national security state, but a global security one, fighting secret wars that have turned the president into an assassin-in-chief. This is a powerful survey of a democracy of the wealthy that your grandparents wouldn’t have recognized.
“In his regular, incisive, and often searing columns, Tom Engelhardt has uncovered layer after layer of deceit, fraud, and distortion to reveal to us harsh truths about power and its exercise that we must comprehend, and resist, and reverse, if there is to be any hope of decent survival. Shadow Government is essential reading.”
    —Noam Chomsky
“Tom Engelhardt is an iconoclast, but he also is the latest exemplar of a great American tradition. Like George Seldes and I. F. Stone before him, he has bypassed conventionally minded newspapers and magazines, and with his remarkable website and in books like this, found a way of addressing readers directly about the issues central to our time. Again and again, he goes to the heart of the matter, drawing on his awesomely wide reading, his knowledge of history, and his acute political radar system that uncovers small but deeply revealing nuggets of news and often makes me feel, enviously: how could I have missed that?”
—Adam Hochschild, author, King Leopold’s Ghost: A Story of Greed, Terror and Heroism in Colonial Africa

“This is a book about secrets and surveillance, but I’m here to tell you one secret its contents won’t. For more than a dozen years, Tom Engelhardt and his website or blog or postnewspaper wire service have been one of the great forces on the side of clarity, democracy, openness, and really good writing. Tom himself, a legendary book editor, is also one of the country’s most eloquent and tenacious political writers, electronically publishing three essays a week for all these years and writing many of them himself. This collection, focused on the new Orwellianism, is some of the finest writing and finest public service gathered together in book form for your portable pleasure and outrage.”
—Rebecca Solnit, author, Men Explain Things to Me
“Tom Engelhardt’s writing on the new forms of government surveillance is crucial because he has spent a lifetime studying the rise of the national security state. He can therefore put the contemporary practices of the National Security Agency and the destruction of the Fourth Amendment in the context of the rise of a twenty-first-century Leviathan that he has chronicled for us for decades. As we arrive a few decades late at Orwell’s 1984, Tom Engelhardt is our anti-Winston Smith, writing the newspaper articles back into their original form and washing out the propaganda.”
—Juan Cole, author of The New Arabs, runs the Informed Comment website

All of this information and evidence and proof on the fabrications and lies of religions should have people jumping for joy, not reacting with rage – after all, it sets them free…..and isn’t that what the truth is supposed to do anyway?

  9. juvenal says:

wether you like or noy! there is an above all who created the universe.there must be an organizer who organized all! however this almight does not worry about how you worship him rather he worry about whoever thinks he is a selfmademan! muslims;boudists christians and others are all under his contlore!is him who made them so because he likes the diversity! as far as some claim the scientific demonstrations fot illustrate his existence i would like to remind them that is whom who creates those so called scientific researches! but do not worry because wether you are a beleiver or an atheist however you beleive or whatever you beleive, the almaight loves you! I am sure you may not beleive me but let me ask you a question:why and how a person be born against his will and dies whenever against his will again?

  10. Lawrence Krauss, a physicist, says there is no creator, other than exploding stars. (you are made of stardust), He wrote “A Universe out of Nothing”,
everything was energy, and it was unstable -too imbalanced . so BAAAM / the big bsng!
